Obviously, as a Petite, Maxi dresses are a nightmare...most of them trail for miles behind me on the floor and it looks ridiculous! So, thankfully, the few Petite sections that there are have finally brought out a range of Petite Maxi dresses for this season (yay). Last year, I remember the selections were awful, so I'm a bit more impressed this year. By far the best Petite sections in the mainstream retailers are Topshop, Dorothy Perkins and Miss Selfridge (despite my slate in the last post - where they've failed in Trousers, they've redeemed in Maxi's).
Miss Selfridge have a pretty good offering this year! All available online (possibly not in stores, Petite things never usually are!) Miss Selfridge offer a lot more Petite Maxi dresses, but I felt these were the brightest and most flattering to the Petite shape!! Happy buying!
Dorothy Perkins have done ok too...These are all reasonably priced, if a little old-womanish...but at least there are some options!!
Finally Topshop...I really like these, bright, stylish and trendy, even Petites can look good in Maxi's this summer! Hurry though, stock online is dwindling!!
